Description
The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a British breed dog that has the gentle attentiveness of a toy breed with the vitality and athleticism of a sporting spaniel. This breed of dog is believed to have been crossed with Asian toys, probably Pugs and Japanese Chin. Since these dogs were purely bred to be lapdogs, they are incredibly affable dogs and generally have lower prey drive. They take a fast liking to strangers and family members.
These noble dogs with their medium-length, silky, and very soft coat come in three basic colors: white with blenim markings, black and tan, or solid ruby. A small number come in a tricolor pattern as well: black and white with tan markings on the eyes, ears, and tail.
The Cavalier King Charles is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. Their personality makes them such a great family dog.
