Description
A breed of working dog developed in Germany for herding sheep, the German Shepherd has a strong build, and a relatively long body. Its coat is of coarse, medium-long outer hair and shorter, dense inner hair and ranges from white or pale gray to black. It is often gray and black or black and tan.
These dogs are intelligent, alert, and loyal, and used as guide dogs, watchdogs, and serve as police and military dogs. This working dog is eager to please and quick to learn. They are playful dogs that love spending quality time with their owners.
