The Beagle is a gentle, fun-loving hound that was bred to be a hunting dog. Their sharp sense of smell makes them the top choice for small-game hunters, and a great detection dog searching for contraband. They wear a weather-proof coat that is easy to maintain. The most common colors of the Beagle are tricolor coat of black, tan, and white or blue, tan, and white.
These dogs are a family favorite because they are friendly, playful, and compact. Beagles have high-energy so they need daily exercise.
